Unless you want to settle for being #2 in our division every year

And never winning anything substantial.

He is a stop gap for now.

A good move to sign him now under the circumstances

We need a QB

And we need to stop denying it.

I’ll ask again

What are the prospects coming out of college next year.

I don’t have a problem taking Pickett this year

But we better be ready to take another QB next year

And/or get a top notch FA QB

Or we are fricked for many years to come.

As Saints fans

We don’t get to run away and quit like Sean Payton

Yeah because after Brady retires next year, Winston will be the best QB in the division. AND we can beat Tampa with Winston. We could win the division next year, dipshit.

I'm not saying he is long term. But please give me reasons besides he sucked in Tampa and his numbers weren't astronomical when handcuffed in Paytons offense.

Hell using this type of arguments I can say you're not a long term solution as a saints fan. Why? Because all you do is post stupid shite about jameis

It's like you just made up an argument no one was having.

I haven't seen many people say jameis is for sure the long term guy.

They gave him a 2 year contract, doesn't sound very long term to me.

I know no one can be this stupid naturally but I can see Mr. Davey has to keep this up to keep collecting a check

Who says he is the long term solution? Could he be? Yes, if he shows growth and maturity during this next two year contract but Saints want him to prove it hence the two year deal.

He has the physical traits to be the long term answer but has to prove it. And hopefully he is in a good spot to prove it. You saw how many injuries and key players missed time last year and they still almost made the playoffs. If Jameis plays decent the Saints are in a great position to make a run again.
