I'm all for an incentive-laden deal escalating up to our first round pick next season or more if his production is there. If we're truly going all in the next two seasons while Brees has tread left on his tires, we need to take chances like this. We are one elite/very good WR and DE from a deep run this year. We've got an improved defense with depth, a better offensive line and a more experienced Michael Thomas/Wille Snead. The only gaping hole is Cooks' home run threat.

It's my understanding that Cleveland will be trading him in early May and we can't miss this opportunity. If we have to overpay, so be it. There's no other free agent WR that offers this much upside.

I honestly think Travin Dural could be that deep threat that we need if his injuries are healed 100%. And no I'm not saying he's Josh Gordon level good but he is a sleeper imo

Absolutely no shot this happens.

Traded? We cant afford to give up a draft pick for a maybe.

Released? There might be a bidding war on him.

I would hope the Saints would bring him in on a 1 year prove it deal. We would make Atlanta's offense last year look like the Rams offense. Of course he would have to be willing to come here. If he wants to win, here as well as a handful of teams offer that opportunity. If he just wants money, he can sign wherever. Im pretty sure we could negotiate something with him.

Josh Gordon is almost worthless as trade bait. No team would offer anything other than token compensation to take him off of Cleveland's hands. First round pickis insane, I don't care what the incentives are.

There is nobody who wants Gordon more than I do. I think he has T.O. Like talent and ability. But you can't give up anything of legitimate valuable for him, the guy will be walking the tightest of tightropes when he returns.

This is why I would make the deal contingent upon performance. If he comes in and contribute 1300 yards and 10 touchdowns, I have no issue with parting with a first-round draft pick. But I would rather chase him via a trade rather than free agency before the Raiders do something stupid like give him $10M on a one year deal.

Ted Ginn will be or I guess should be used like Devery Henderson was during his time in New Orleans.

Not the best of hands but a safety has to stay with him which opens up the Tight ends on seams and more importantly the "satelite" back that Bush and Sproles were back in the day.

I agree with this 100%. TEs will bounce back this year in a huge way bc of Ginn pulling the safeties away.

I'd say Tedd Ginn is a pretty good deep threat.

Do not need or want because he can't put down the weed. I personally don't care about recreational Marijuana ,but it is league policy and he can't stop getting in trouble over it. He is talented but if he is too stupid to put the joint down when he has too than he is not worth it..

Before his hamstring tear, he was the #1 reciever in the SEC despite terrible QB play. Since he's come back, he's played slow, small, and soft, but had consistently the best hands on the team. If he could somehow get back to his 2015 self, he'd be the biggest steal of the draft, but I think that ship has sailed. He may make tge roster, but he's never going to be his pre-injury self. That extra burst is gone.

One of them was due to alcohol.

If I remember properly, the browns were flying back from the last game.

He thought when season ended, he was allowed to drink and he did. Tested positive for alcohol, wasn't even over legal limit.

He does have a drop issue, but it gets overstated here.

In Car he had drop rates of 4.4%, 10.4%, and 5.3%. He had 3, 10, and 5 drops for 18 total (6 per year).

Despite his drops he still put up:

134 catches (44.67 per year)
2,047 yards (682.3 per year)
19 tds (6.3 per year)
15.3 ypc
43.6 ypg

And his last two years were better than his first year:

98 catches (49 per year)
1,491 yards (745.5 per year)
14 tds (7 per year)
15.2 ypc
48.1 ypg

So he can definitely still produce and score tds despite his drop issue.

Hell this is an underrated part of his game:

22 rushes (7.3 per year)
187 yards (62.3 per year)
8.5 ypc

You can definitely use him on reverses and screens.

Neither my post nor this thread have anything to do with how good travin dural is. This thread was about possibly signing Josh Gordon, a former All Pro NFL WR, not Travin Dural (300 yards, UDFA, 4.55 40, 6 feet tall from LSU)
