My one complaint is that, for preseason football, he has homer vision.
It’s not bad for us, but he rarely calls out the other team’s player who made the play. He focuses on our guys too much without giving the full details.
Again, not bad for us, but when rebroadcast nationally, it terrible to watch for non-Saints fans interested in both teams/players.

That's a product of him not being a full time football guy. There's a ton of research that goes into game prep, and suffice it to say, he's not doing that for a few preseason calls on Raycom with the NBA opener looming.

Pelz could find someone to call games. He should be doing saints games. Strief is so garbage.

If given the choice between the two, I’m sure Joel would stay on TV for the Pels over radio for the saints. He’s a huge NBA guy and hosts his own National radio show on the Sirius nba station
