He's been the qb coach at SF for 2 seasons.

Welp, would be typical of this team's leadership to hire the guy least responsible for Stroud's success to a promotion to OC.
Slowik is what drove that machine and development along with Stroud's abilities, particularly his willingness to throw the ball away and eat plays rather than take risks turning it over.
Some of you really need to stop supporting this inept organization. They literally do such stupid stuff and no one seems to care.

And how do you know this?
If you actually keep up with Texans football, you would pick up on this in nearly every way. It is simply evident that while Johnson has had some influence on CJ's break out year, it was Slowik that really helped him succeed. It's the style of playcalling and why Houston was able to succeed.
Nothing Johnson has done in his career to date justifies this type of promotion.

Stroud: 7.1% sack rate, 24th in nfl
Carr: 5.4% sack rate, 7th in nfl
ETA... I see your edit. I do think his high sack rate helps his great yds/att, which was 3rd in nfl
Carr takes the snap, 2 seconds later a WR is open for a big play or TD. Doesn't matter because Carr threw the check down for a 1 yard gain already despite there being no pressure .
Sometimes that sack rate number don't tell the full story.

Eta: I just looked it up and cj got sacked more than carr, so I guess I'm full of shite. ?
You weren't wrong though - Stroud got a way quicker release and better hot reads / throw aways as the season progressed. Likely his QB coach played a big role in that.

Get him and draft a QB and kick Carr to the curb. Then if they can fire DA after next season they’ll be in good shape.

Supposedly Morris told management he was going to be his OC if hired as the head coach in interviews.
This. Zac Robinson has pretty much given his word to come with Raheem to ATL.

Yeah and he isn’t coming here. I wasn’t talking about the Saints.

Are you close enough to rahim and zach to know this? I'm genuinely interested in how you supposedly know the inner discussions of blanks and rahim

I believe so too. The falcons are going to be scary with Morris, Robinson and if they can get one of the top 3 QBs
Damn. They will be the favorites in the NFC south IMO.
I made a whole post about it this morning and like a dumb arse accidentally posted it to the OT by mistake and as you can imagine got 3 digit down votes before it got whacked. I RA’d to move it here but no luck. lol.

Right. Position coach within the Shannahan system who has never called plays…

Neither has Robinson, right?

Living here and hearing the local Texans talk that’s what’s been said.
