News just broke. So Vrabel still available? Get him on the phone Mickey
All these coaches available and we decide to stick with Doofus Allen when the whole team is revolting against him. fricking insane

Mayo is a reach. I know he is a NE guy, but he is only a LB coach. Vrabel at HC with Mayo at DC would have been a better move

I would gladly trade Allen for vrabel

Unfortunately I suspect the unemployment office would reject that trade

Horrible hire
Especially with Vrabel available
The Patriot decline worsens

The Saints have been in existence almost 60 years and have 2 coaches that managed to leave here with a winning record. We have no clue what a good hire looks like.

What a stupid comment

It’s kind of weird how you can say that so confidently. Wouldn’t it be better to say it’s risky or something like that in the event that it works out and you not having to look dumb? I’ve never understood how people can risk themselves looking crazy so easily lol.

How would we feel about Pete Carroll?

So stupid that you had to respond but couldn't offer any factual information to refute it huh

In the 2 years Allen has been HC of the Saints he went 7-10 & 9-8 for 16-18 overall, missing the playoffs both seasons
Vrabel in the same 2 year span has gone 7-10 & 6-11 for 13-21 overall, missing the playoffs both seasons
I like Vrabel but so many people on this board are way too emotional and don't use much logic & reason, and this is another example. Vrabel is a good coach, but what has he done lately to suggest that he would come to the Saints with this current roster and current cap situation and make us any better?
Our Offense is the problem, mainly OC/playcaller, so whether its Allen or Vrabel both would have to get a new one to fix it. Now if Allen tells Mickey he wants Carmichael at OC again then Mickey should fire him right there

And those 2 were the coaches for 26 of the 57 years. Sounds like stability.

not when you consider it took 30 years and 8 tries to find the first one then 4 tries in 10 years to find the second one. The Steelers have stability.

At least they’re trying.

He was too young and in over his head as an owner.
He did bag some top shelf talent off the field.
He was better at that than on-the-field results.

If we don't count those years then how can we even discuss the history of the franchise? Mecom started the team.
