Yes indeed. Washington and Callaway would make for a rather promising if unproven starting duo.

Washington was gifted the WR2 when AB left. Now he's their WR4 at best and 6th on the team in receptions in 2020.

What an upgrade.

Anything is an upgrade over our current roster

You're right in that he underperformed when he was given his chance. At the same time, WR competition in Pittsburgh has been a bit stiffer than the current iteration of Saint's WR room.

I'd love for NO to acquire him, but they would probably end up overpaying for him or any other WR they trade for bc teams know how bad our situation is.

Probably not worth more than a 4th round pick, but NO would likely have to give up that plus a player or a higher draft pick to get him.

Why? He is still pretty unproven and WRs do not usually draw a premium in trades. I would say 5th or lower.

He definitely has some juice worth exploring - he's had Big Ben's corpse, Mason Rudolph, and Duck Hodges throwing to him the last few seasons.

I agree with you, but other teams know our demand for WR is high so they could ask for more in a trade than a player is worth.

Do a conditional trade based on performance.

The source said that Washington, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, is unhappy with his limited playing time last season and so far this preseason.

"James Washington is a guy that is getting on the field and needs to get on the field more," Roethlisberger said in December. "But it's not because anybody's not doing good. It's just because he's a player that can make plays. We always talk about guys staying fresh. We need to rotate guys, get him on the field, because he's hungry, wants to be out there and make plays for us."

The Oklahoma State alum was selected in the second round of the 2018 draft and is a part of a loaded receivers room that also includes JuJu Smith-Schuster, Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson.

He is not worth a 4th round pick.

Maybe a 6th rounder.
