I know he receives endless flack, but after everything, how he embraces the city, fan base and especially what he did yesterday, I appreciate his time here and honestly will miss him when he leaves. Wherever he does go I hope he succeeds.

He loves it here and is about as best as you can ask for at the backup position. Keep him. We have much worse problems.

I won't miss him. He was in for one play today and defied the coach. Typical.

Usually I would agree with you one hundred percent. But take it in context. This was the last play of the season between two teams who were packing it in for the year. Sitting on the one, they wanted their hard-working teammate to score his only TD of the year. I get it, it's not like Williams has never recorded a rushing TD but it was sort of a Rudy moment after the season was effectively over.

He’s going to be beloved by the Saints for getting Williams that TD and shoving it DA’s face. Now its the front offices turn to do their job and do the same.

We didn't know it at the time. We were depending on the afternoon games to determine our fate.

Winston's famous 30 int season, he had an int % of 4.8. This season, he was 6.4. He was really bad as a backup this season mainly bc he can't/won't take care of the ball. For reference, Carr was 1.5 int%, and Ridder was 3.1%.

Weird how Carr seems to be crapped on, and Winston loved.

We were all hoping but the odds of the Packers and Seahwaks losing were miniscule at best. I felt the season was over when Tampa won.

The 30/30 season must’ve broken him because he hasn’t shown anything close to that kind of play since. He’s ultra conservative with the ball in his hands…either he’s not smart enough to read a defense or his coaches don’t trust him enough to give him the freedom to check in and out of plays. Taysom Hill would be a better QB2 at this point.

And Winston has shown that he will defy the HC. Whether the act was selfless or not JW should have taken the knee, and then he and his teammates could have cried about the decision later. Now you have a footnote by your name when the time comes to play for a new coach/team. Good luck not being relegated to QB3.

I’m a die hard Saints fan. I love the Saints and these are my feelings:

I love Jameis Winston!
I mega-super-loath Dennis Allen!!!

Just a fricking leader of men that busts arse.

Tell me he wouldn't have gone 9-8 this year. You can't.

Jameis the player and teammate makes the Derek Carr signing all the more unforgivable.
