Yep, insert the gum popping sounds like a Winn Dixie cashier and you've nailed it.

The Raiders finished with a red zone touchdown percentage of 52.8, which was 21st in the league. The 2019 offense was 14th in red zone opportunities improving from 27th in 2018 but still finished right around the same percentage, which was 22nd the previous season. For perspective, the four years before he came back from the booth, the Raiders average red zone touchdown percentage was 62.32, with an average ranking of 7.75.

Sounds all too familiar

Carr was 19-29 as a starter under Gruden. You know the state of affairs are bad when people think he’s the answer

Gruden’s emails saved him from getting canned. He and Mayock were becoming the laughing stock of the league

This isn't a thing. Ryan Nielsen just took a DC job with the Falcons last season, improved the unit, Smith got fired and he just got another DC job.

That was a dumb bootlicker Underhill response

The falcons were in the midst of a rebuild, the situation is not the same. Fontenot purged their roster for two years, traded guys and ate a ton of cap leading in to 2023. They spent big coming into this season and had three top picks on the offense. Smith was canned after being given the show something in ‘23

Saints have none of that. Nielsen went in there thinking he was going to build something, especially after getting all his guys on defense

Not to hijack, but it's crazy to think that before the Raiders job Mayock was considered one of the best, if not the best, draft analysts in the media. Then he gets the Raiders job and completely shits the bed. Just shows how smart Kiper, McShay, and others are for realizing their limitations

Gruden at Oakland/LV
4-12
7-9
8-8
3-2 fired

They made playoffs at 10-7 his final season. The progression was there.

I agree and was quite puzzled by the draft pics they made under his regime. I always thought he was the best. But there were rumors that Chucky was actually doing the drafting . And that woukd make it believable.

Mayock was higher on Kamara than anyone by far. Had him rated as a first round pick that year. And I know how Gruden is, so I believe Gruden overruled him on most of his tenure.

This is the same interview sham process that produced Dennis Allen as head coach. Will be a bunch of names interviewed, and then they'll settle for the in-house guy.

I think Gruden's best route back to the league would be NOT as a HC, so OC or Sr. Offensive Asst or some shite might be his ticket in.

7-9
8-8
3-2 fired

They made playoffs at 10-7 his final season. The progression was there.

Slight progression, yes.
But for anyone that is in favor for Gruden to be either HC now or temp OC/HC in waiting, then I would need you to explain to me why you feel positively about Gruden's yet are ready to fire Allen after 2022 & 2023 records for Allen of 7-10 then 9-8.
This isn't an argument defending Allen, I'm asking for what's the difference between the 2.

I'm not stumping for gruden. I am questioning the one I replied on gruden getting fired even if no emails and him being a laughing stock. Gruden had the raiders primed to make playoffs for only 2nd time since 2002.

ETA... they did make playoffs after he was fired at 3-2. I feel they would've done the same if gruden had stayed

Gruden lost 5 of 7 to finish the year leading into the season he was fired for the emails. Go back and read what the players said after Rich Bisaccia led them to the playoffs once Gruden was fired. It’s what prompted Davis to retain Pierce; all the players wanted bisaccia to be the guy after

Gruden was on a 10 year deal. His getting fired for cause was music to the Raiders’ ears

WGNO's Jared Paul Joseph had to put the racist tag on Gruden. The on air fart pause was deafening. Basically he said it would be a shame and a slap in the face of the Saints fans if they hired Gruden...

You're a dumbass if this was your first thought. You and all the other morons parroting this stupid shite collectively don't have a handful of braincells to rub together. Do you actually think someone is going to turn down an NFL OC job because DA might get fired next year? Do you have any idea how fricking stupid that sounds?

-Almost any HC can get fired next year
-DA probably won't even get fired next year, he just had a winning season and the GM is in love with him
-A good confident coach thinks they can turn around the offense and help the team be better next year
-OC job is significant boost in visibility and pay

I don't like DA just as much as the next guy. I think he's a terrible HC. But I'm not blinded by hate like you dumbasses are.

Sure, the Saints might make a bad OC hire. I'm not convinced it's not Curry. But if you REALLY TRULY BELIEVE that guys who are position coaches around the league would turn down this job you are a fricking moron.

Underhill literally tweeted the same thing an hour before you posted about Nielsen. So yes that was my first thought

I don’t think that they would turn down the job because he might get fired. But certain jobs are more appealing than others. And this job is simply less appealing than most for a few different reasons. If two teams offer the same guy, and he doesn’t chose your team, he’s turning you down. Why would one chose another team over us? A lot of reasons. If you disagree, let me know, I’d love to go round and round on the topic.
