It upsets me still that this team missed out on Mahomes

Good news is, we have another shot at Mahomes in two years.

His name is Tua Taigovailoa.

Make it happen, Loomis!

How do you propose that? We’ll be drafting at 32 after back to back titles.

Best case scenario, Brees keeps playing and kicking arse and we don’t have to go through the rebuild for a few more years and the QB of our future is still in HS.

Tua’s brother. I like it.

You don't miss on something you never had a chance to get...unless they traded some serious value to move up a spot.

Would have been great but we probably don't reach the playoffs without Lattimore shutting people down last year. He was key to the defensive resurgence last year.

Before last night's game against LSU I was on the fence about Tua but I'm convinced he's going to be a good one. He completed some passes into very tight coverage. He has good accuracy and ball placement. He made good decisions under pressure and took what the defense gave him. The guy is going to be a stud.

All of the above is true unless Saban forces him to play on a knee that is clearly not right. He needs to sit out until it’s 100% or he risks ruining his NFL career. A bad knee forces negative changes to mechanics which could be bad for his future.

Once he re-aggravated his knee, his accuracy wasn’t on point. Bama had a big lead and could just run on every play.

Someone posted that he should leave school and just work with dedicated QB coaches all next year. I agree with this.

I guess I just don't get this.

Sure, it'd be cool to have him. But we have a HOF QB in Brees, having an All Pro season, setting records of some sort just about every week. He's 39... and still healthy, with only 1 rival still playing. That would be Brady, who's still winning Super Bowls and is about a year and and half older.

The rules are changing to allow QBs to play longer, as long as they have the arm to do so. Brees does. If he stays in the league until Brady retires, he will own every record in the book. If he leaves before Brady, there's a good chance Brady passes him on a few.
So I don't see Brees leaving until he knows Brady is, also.

Which would make Mahomes a waste. He would likely go his entire rookie contract without a start here.

Tua's great in college, I have major questions at the nfl level though. I have my doubts that he can stay healthy.
