QB's play into their late 30's.

When he's knocking on 30?

25 years old is not "knocking on 30"

Shough was over-drafted b/c he's more "NFL ready" by being so old and having 1 year in a "pro style" offense that made him more mentally advanced in 2024-2025. Hence, "win now".

Shough was over-drafted because this is a weak QB class. He has better tools then the other QB's on the board. If he doesn't work out, we will be back in the market for a QB next year. I don't mind the pick at 40.

The 26 year old thing is so overblown. Since Brees retired they've started eight different guys. If Shough can come in and be a franchise guy, even if it's just for 10 years, I take that one thousand percent of the time.

I have heard numerous scouts say he goes 1.1 if he is a 22 or 23 year old. There is no denying his talent. At #40, you are not mortgaging anything to take a shot at him hitting.

There is no logical sense in sitting Shough for 1-3 years to develop so that he finally starts at 29-30

I said the same thing when someone mentioned the rams were going to pick him later in the 2nd.

By the time he takes over for Stafford, he will be pushing 30 lol. He was vastly overdrafted by our front office, not shitting on the prospect. No one knows how he will turn out, but it’s idiotic to argue otherwise.

Saints have made much worse picks in the second round. I'm always fine with swinging for a QB until you find your guy.

Weak class and lets be honest he may be the Day 1 starter.

This impasse with Carr is about to get ugly, really ugly.

Yup. Pennix and Bo Nix are 25.

Pennix will basically be a first year starter at 25.

Nix will be 26 by the end of next season/SB.

Nobody fricking cares - this board lacks insight.

This mindset is how you end up with the worst roster in the NFL. We didn’t Mortgage anything in Foskey either, right? Especially with Branch available.

I live the posts keep drafting QBs until we hit on one? Why aren’t we drafting all QBs every round then to increase our odds?

I think most people are concerned that he’s never been good. So it’s hard for our little pea brains to imagine him being good in the nfl

god forbid us Meyer and the rest of the Saints coaches can’t help him improve.

That is a completely stupid argument.

This is the same type of guilt trip we saw during the entire Carr era. Then it blew up in our face like we all knew would happen. Do any of the carr-truthers admit they were wrong? Hell no, they sit on their high horse. They are the positive fans!!

It is rather difficult sometimes being the only football genius on this board.

They are content just having a team in NOLA. Any win is gravy so they set the expectations at zero and are all in trust Loomis regardless.

Kinda leaving out a bit of important information in that both have started in college since their freshman years and have at least three full years of starting experience in college.

If we were on any other board or platform it would be completely different. Twitter is clowning us. The rest of the division is laughing at us. Is the rest of the nfl impressed by our draft? Nope just this board. Should we have an objective opinion? No!!! Be positive!!

Yea they forgot to mention how both Nix and Penix were actually productive in college. I don’t even have to look it up I know both had way more production. It’s not even close. But but but Josh Allen!!!!
