It has all come together for the defensive line. Rankins with his quick return, signing Brown, Davenport improving, and of course Cam. Throw in Hendrickson and you have a talented, deep line that can stop the run and get after the QB. The key has been shutting down running games. It makes our LB's and defensive backfield seem even better. One overlooked aspect is how we substitute freely and be fresh in the 4th quarter.

Our defenses in the dome patrol days had a better chance of scoring than our offense did.
I don't think the Dline was as good as many remember but I'm not gonna argue it. Those LBs were an absolute nightmare to opposing teams though. All 4 LBs made the pro bowl for sure one year, maybe more. They could blitz, cover, and stop the run better than anyone in the league. Other than maybe Lawrence Taylor, it was like you picked the 4 best LBs in the league and put them on the same team, it was incredible.

This is not only the best Dline, but best front 7 we have had in a long time.
