Dude, kindly stfu. You aren't a pro athlete with the facilities, doctors, and trainers available to him. This is his job! He doesn't go to rehab after a day flipping burgers. His job, all day every day, is to get treated and recover.
Sounds like he's a first class pussy

My big concern with Byrd is that he is no where to be seen. Not on the sideline being a leader, no where. Bobby talked about this yesterday on WWL. Why even if he is injured is he not being a leader on the sideline??
Huge red flag here, sorry!

Did you even read what he posted? You repeated a lot of his post in yours
Also, it is sad this has to be said again, but every injury heals differently and no 2 injuries are the same

This was the whole point of the thread.

rehabilitation doesn't have to be done under the microscope of horny reporters taking sneaky hoodie pics and fondling themselves over it on twitter.

From Roto:
ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett said the PUP list is a "serious consideration" for S Jarius Byrd (knee).
The Saints expected Byrd to return to practice before the end of the preseason, but he has yet to see the field. The details of Byrd's injury are not known, but he is believed to be dealing with complications from the torn meniscus which caused him to miss all but four games last season. Byrd signed a six-year, $54 million contract last offseason.

Jeez. I've been optimistic but this is just ridiculous.

That's why you rely on the doctors.
I hate to come off as I'm defending Byrd, I really do, but you can only rely on the doctors so much. At the end of the day, you have to listen to yourself/your body.
quote:None of us have ANY idea what's going on with him, so we will all just have to wait to see what happens from here. You're implying that he hasn't been doing these things, which you have no information to go off of. The mental aspect isn't "being able to handle it", it's having the confidence in your knee to make the cuts at full speed, make a full, extended jump on the dime, the ability to take on contact, etc. The hardest part about doing these things is being able to do them without thinking about every movement as it's happening, and just being able to play freely. Playing scared/hesitant is an easy way to re-injure yourself (and to play like shite).
If I were being paid to play football, and given top notch continuous care and training, I'm quite sure mentally I'd be able to handle it. I mean presumably, he has been rehabbing for almost a year. He's been able to test it out and strengthen the leg. I'm sure he's been given the green light.
If I was recovering slower than expected, I'd be visiting doctors and physical therapists trying to strengthen the leg and get out there ASAP. But, this would have been relative months ago. Not now. It's been 11 months.
And, certainly any concerns about my injury would be outweighed by the fact that I'm being paid 40+ Million to play football. There is zero chance I just sat around waiting for it to feel better.
To say so that he should be doing this, should be seeing this doctor, going to physical therapy, etc. is asinine because, again, we have NO idea at all what he's been up to since minicamp.

The hoodie pics were actually the couple times he was actually at practice. All the writers are saying that it is strange that he has been so absent from everything team related. Byrd mystery continues.

i understand that, and half the reporters were having twitter chats and sneaking pics like a bunch of school girls about it. Ended up being a distraction for really no damn reason. Yes byrd probably isn't doing overly well in his responses to his healing or however you want to word it. Evident by the fact he's not practicing. I dont' think there's harsh vibes between him and saints. Its just frustrating for everyone cause even himself and saints want him on field making an impact for this team.

So why go with the insider info BS and claim that he was going against the Saints wishes and even the doctors?
The whole point of the response is why don't we wait and see and go off real information.

Frick Buffalo and frick "Loomising" their players
Posted on 9/1/15 at 10:16 am to Chad504boy
Well why isn't he on the field with the team like Bobby mentions. i get not playing if he doesn't feel right but I just don't get why he isn't out there at least conversing with players/coaches during practice and games. Something just doesn't smell right.

Again, as I've stated multiple times, he absolutely has access to some of the finest physical therapy resources in the country, but the risk of his job is far greater than any of ours when it comes to injury.
That's hilarious of you assume that I flip burgers for a living. To even make that assumption shows how much of a fricking idiot you are. However, your burger flipping statement makes my point about coming back this job vs. mine even more, so thanks for that, moron.

What do some of you guys think he's doing all day? Do you think he's just jerking off in a hyperbaric chamber for 4 hours out of the day, and playing Xbox the rest?

That's quite possible, but you come off as a first class dumbass, so there's that.

He would be getting fined every day by the Saints if he was cleared and refused to practice

No it does not but he is a freaking Pro and suppose to be a leader and he sure in the hell ain't showing it. I don't know and I don't think none of us know what is going on behind the scene but even if he is really that hurt which by now really seems to be the case, he can't even show himself on the fricking sidelines even if trying to be leader?
Jesus H Christ we gave him what some 26 million guaranteed?

good god this is why i don't buy nissans no more.

It is questionable. I don't think it's any major conspiracy or anything other than Sean does what he does with injury reports and doesn't let on to the true extent to them. He's likely hurt worse than anyone knows and probably will not play this season. Looking like another bust by the organization. Didn't look good in the games he played last year and hasn't even seen the practice field much this year. Can't predict injuries but they didn't pay all that money to watch TV at your house hurt.
