Or have all these new safety precautions seemed to make the game more unsafe?? I mean, I don’t remember 2-3 players a week getting concussed 10 years ago….. just seems kinda odd that as the game has been made to be safer (Supposedly), it’s gotten a lot worse….

Heads hitting turf concussions seem to be the biggest issue to me. It’s constant.

Agreed. But, I mean, heads have hit the turf since the game became a game. I don’t see how installing new safety protocols and new age equipment is leading to more concussions. Is it just because in the past, all concussions weren’t reported?

It's illegal to hit them high and it's illegal to hit them low. Now, guys have to wrap up the player and fling them to the ground. Their head hits the turf and we have concussions left and right. NFL is constantly tripping on their dicks.

This is perfectly stated, and should be plastered on billboards all across the country. I would love nothing more than for Roger to get hit with this over and over…..like a damn hammer

Damn that absolutely makes sense of it. It’s becoming rare that the initial impact causes the injury.

BigPerm hit on the main reason, but a bigger reason why we're hearing about it more now is
This is an absolute fact. Hell, just last week you had an interview from Burrow talking about he will often blackout during the game, won't remember the 2nd half of some games, and won't remember the full games sometimes. These are all signs of brain injuries from concussions and none of them were reported.

because they were just featured on ESPN highlights as "he got knocked the F out" of the week. same for defenseless receivers BS.
anytime you try to remove a guys natural ability to hit and tackle a guy you force them to focus on targeting other weak points rather then tackling the guys whole body and you cause more injuries, and more serious injuries to happen
also to a lesser extent, they all mostly use turf now rather the real grass so the field has no give to it like playing on a real grass field does

Back in the day, a guy staggering back to the huddle shaking his head stayed in the game if he "cleared up" when he got in the huddle.
There weren't spotter and getting your bell rung was part of the game. You basically had to be knocked out, like Olave was, to leave the game and not return.

Just wait until a defensive player snaps there ACL or screws up their knee from trying to snatch the flag off of , I mean sack a quarterback. Then godell will make a rule where defensive players can only wave their arms and hope the quarterback can't see

Good line, but not accurate. You can hit low all you want, other than QB or punter. High is fine too if you do it right
You like spearing? Taking the head off of receivers? Most of the rules are fine and necessary, its the enforcement that leaves a lot to be desired.
And the QB-specific rules are the most frustrating. They did go overboard there.
