He was guaranteed $60 million in salary and bonuses this year.
A great quarterback can get any team 8 wins. Its up to team and coaching staff to get the rest. BTW, your mother's a whore.

He's not earning his money this season. I'll certainly say that.
This season Drew brees is:
1st in yards
1st in touchdowns
2nd in completions
1st in attempts
2nd in Yrds per game
and sadly, yes, first in INTs
and 12th in QB Rating
All that with all the offseason bullshite and without a HC, mentor, and OC coordinator. And you think the guy hasnt earned his money.
Out of curiosity, have you ever watched a Saints game from start to finish?

fricking boom

Boom.
While its easy to blame Brees for last nights game, there were other freak factors as well. He basically had 3 TDs either called back or wiped out by mistakes. Not to mention the playcalling before the end of the first half was ridiculous an we should have never been in that situation in the first place

Teams need coaches?
Why can't they win without all the necessary parts?
You know nothing about football.
Admit it, you twat.

You bring up the chargers game where he had 370 yards and 4 touchdowns. Where do you people come from?

So, I'm guessing that we won't see you on this board NEXT year when Drew goes back to his usual awesome results, SP returns, Spags revamps the D, and we're kicking major arse??

This thread is hilarious. I'm so glad the rantards don't follow the Hornets as well.
1) God forbid a man put his own family before football, huh?
I just hate it when people value their own children more than my personal interests.
2) Brees is the best thing to ever happen to the Saints and is the main reason why we have a Lombardi trophy and are no longer in the discussion for the biggest joke of a franchise in NFL history. Anyone complaining about how much money he makes is a damn fool unless he is putting up awful numbers and clearly shows a lack of interest.
3) The rantards seem to fail to realize that missing your head coach and having a defense that's on pace to statistically be the worst in NFL history isn't exactly a winning formula. Mix in a bad quarterback instead of a future Hall of Famer and I guarantee that the Saints don't have a single win right now. His last two games have been bad, but every quarterback will have a bad stretch, and missing our best play caller certainly doesn't help.
It's so sad that we have a huge portion of our fanbase that can be so ungrateful for a guy that has given so much to this city and has been nothing but class and a great representative. There is a huge reality check coming for people like you when Brees and Payton are gone.

I know better to respond to idiot trolls like you, but:
Who is a better Offensive Play Caller in the NFL?
Who is a better Offensive Play Caller in NFL History? Bill Walsh?
Statistically, the Saints have had the greatest run of any Offense in NFL history under his tenure. Virtually everyone in the NFL agrees that he is the best.
So, your "Wow" means what?

Don't try and say Brees doesn't care. He's playing bad. shite happens.
yep. I told a guy the same thing. They were blasting him saying he was not worth 20 million blah blah blah. I asked them so what would you have done? gave him less than that? risked a chance of losing him or pissing him off with a franchise tag? The guy has brought us plenty wins especially playoff wins since 2006 and for that i am grateful. without him GOD only knows what we would have done.
Yet these sane people will not dare criticize les miles for shitting the bed as far as game decisions in the Bama game. go figure.

But we lost without him therefore we suck.
