JJ COULD be in the hall of fame or could be the next Brandin Cooks

He’s a number 2 receiver.
I hate this dumb statement. People keep saying he is a number 2 receiver like we drafted a guy that isn’t talented enough to be a number 1. That could not be further from the truth. He has the luxury of being a number 2 but that is not his talent cap. He draws comparison to Terry McLaurin who is darn good and reminds him Ireland of Marvin Harrison who was darn great. Guy has speed, great route running at every level, and one of the better hands coming out of the draft. No reason to think he is just a number 2.

Cooks is good, but not HOF good

Good lord. You really don’t know what you are watching man.
Cooks to JJ comp is ridiculous.
JJ is 6 inches taller and a complete receiver.
Cooks could get some deep balls here and there but generally couldn’t make contested catches when it mattered.
Do any of y’all have the ability to be unbiased on here?
I root for the Saints, but I would never imagine comping Olave or Cooks to Justin Jefferson. There is zero basis for either comp other than blind hope and fandom.

Perfect example is Michael Thomas age coming into the league and how he excelled quickly.
I would say he's an outlier example. See Brandon Weeden and Chris Weinke for other examples.
