Clearly he must’ve been told that because Bell was signing a likely big deal that he could draft off of that and get a lot more $$ and thought the Saints were low balling.

Sad to see, but I think we will be fine and he will get more of the load in Baltimore so maybe both sides will have benefited

Both sides will do fine here

Baltimore is going to run him into the ground and run him out of the league

Shame. Sean talked about players who left previously and always expressed regret afterward.

Think this will be one of those situations. Plus Baltimores D took a major hit this offseason.

Why? I’d like to buy him a cigar.

Saints offer Ingram 4.5M a year, but with a deadline. Ingram says nah, I think I can get more on the market.

Saints move on.

Ingram doesn't get more.

I think Ingram would have returned for 500K less.

Looks like he / his agent misjudged his value. I had heard he was asking for 8.

Yep. As soon as the Saints moved on, Ingram lost a ton of leverage.

They will run him into the ground and his AYPC will go down because they have NO passing game. NO's passing game kept defenses honest.

Yeah it sounds like his agent jobbed him. I'm guessing the agent makes more based on the contract size so he convinced Mark that was the way to go...he doesn't care where Mark plays...he just knows it's his last opportunity to squeeze money out before having to sign the next guy

The root of this problem is that the agent overestimated Ingram's market value and the Saints chose to sign Murray while he was available. After that it was too late.
