This isnt meant to be a rash reaction. This is meant to be logical, necessary upgrades to this team

Sedrick Ellis needs to be benched. I know there is no way we will replace him but he is an embarrassment.

Zach Strief needs to be replaced. Our O-line has been uncharacteristically bad so far, and he is the worst culprit

I've resisted the bait until now, but I am officially in favor of trading Ingram for a defensive player. He clearly will not make an impact here, and our D is hurting BADLY.

Most of all, our defensive unit is completely unequipped for Spag's scheme. We need new players to suit it. Either that, or we completely reboot our defensive scheme. Our secondary needs work (obviously), but no in-season trade will remedy that. THe most we can possibly do is change things up. Our D Line is a joke that will never suit Spag's scheme.

dude this ship isn't able to be righted this season...you can call me a shitty fan...I don't really give a shite at this point. There is an obvious lack of talent on this team that having an offensive genius for a head coach can make up for. This motley crew of shite can't do anything.

I don't think anything is righting the ship this year tbh. There's no real sense of direction for thsi team, on either side of the ball.

This year will take a shape all its own and we might as well accept that reality. Get those expectations down and just remember the generations of Saints fans who cheered them on, regardless of how bad, under head-bags and other disguises.

What kind of defensive player can we get for him? Special teams specialist?

I'm resigned that we won't be 'participating' in the playoffs this year. But we can improve things while we can THIS season. Get rid of the dead weight while we can and improve our D as much as is possble

Ha. There are a few teams out there that value his 'potential'

Isn't cap space an issue still this offseason. High draft picks may be the only way for this defense to get younger and faster

They'll clear some cap room, somehow.
