It’s a game my man.

2018 sorta ended it for me to be honest.

I get emotionally invested at times in actual game threads (Pels more so) but I can quickly disengage once the games over.

Just have to learn to separate reality from the game. Don’t let it effect your ACTUAL life.

It ultimately doesn’t matter in the slightest

you are around 40 right? walk away man. better shite to do.

coach your daughter softball team or son baseball team. watch other sports. do real investing into making money a myriad of ways, find other interests

NFL is trash and has been for years. it is WWE.

if 2018 and all the other BS did not turn you away for good nothing will. it will never be the same again

That honestly does eat up a ton of actual life. I’ll be fine but I struggle w the disengaging part cause I’m so competitive and loyal.

We won the division 2 years ago....Brees had a hurt shoulder, and had ONE bad game. It seemed like the entire fanbase wanted him to retire. Look at Brady. Brees could be still helping us win games. Brees was a SAVIOR.....Put him in the organization....Do something DIFFERENT...

After 1/9/12 with LSU and the blantant cheating with the No Call NFC game, I just sat back and said WTF am I doing.

I’m 55 years old and I’m watching muscular men play a game for millions of dollars. It almost draws you into watching. Watching games that blur into athletic porn. You end up feeling joy if your team wins.
Too many other things to think about in life. More important things to do than to allow a game to bring you into a deep depression. It’s an illusion.
Its not worth be too invested in the outcome.

This is the game that did it for me as well and followed up by the 49ers last second win the same week. It had to much of an impact. I get into the games and happy for wins, but losses I can let go now. It’s not that important for it to effect the rest of my week or day.

The worst part is I don’t know how to emotionally disengage.

STOP WATCHING. real simple. you will forget it in no time. you can still come here to scroll see whats happening from time to time and see board melting and have fun with it for awhile. leave and forget it again. does not mean you have to watch this garbage.
