In the early 90s, we had one of the most dominant defensive teams I've ever seen. Too bad we had Bobby Hebert

He deserves every bit of it. He gets all the praise and glory when he plays well. He is paid to be the best player in the NFL, he needs to play like it. We offered him to be the highest paid player in the league and that wasn't enough. He was firm that he wanted $100 million. When this team needed it's leader and he sold them out for a few million. During the process we lost the best guard in the league and our best cover corner. He takes our offer we could have franchised Nicks or Colston. If Drew is worth 20 million, what is coach SP worth?

Yeah, 9 picks in 3 games is nothing to worry about.

How many of those picks were passes that went through the players hands and tipped into the air, then picked? Those aren't Drew's fault. Don't get me wrong, some were but some of the blame has to go to the recievers too.

This sentence makes no sense. HE won a Superbowl for us and he deserves the money he being paid.

Neither had anything to do with his contract

Nicks didnt want to stay here unless he got paid a gadrillion dollars, we didnt want to pay him.

or Colston

lolwut?

A billion fricking dollars. Coach salaries arent capped and dont effect the player cap. Pay him a billion dollars.

I'm not saying they all are, but sometimes it can be his fault for throwing behind or too high.

Drew played better this week I thought.

I'm not trying to attack him here as I will always stand by him until he retires but his arm strength appears to be lacking even to what were normally used. Underthrowing deep balls that he's usually $$ on ,etc. He just looks exhausted or hurt.

Skill players are down this year as well, Sproles isn't making as huge of impact, that may be more game plan related which is a a whole nother subject as Carmichael rides Ingram/Pierre but when they are most needed he avoids them, etc. Jimmy Graham hands are lacking severely, Moore is inconsistent as well, Devery is well disappearing, Joseph Morgan is the only one who's exceeded or met expectations besides maybe Colston

I think that mentally and emotionally, Drew is exhausted at this stage of the season.

As for the game planning stuff, that's related to the reason that Drew is mentally and emotionally exhausted: Payton is not there.

I'm not the type to stick up for a player when he is simply putting up a terrible and embarrasing effort, but I feel for Brees and the Saints. The season that was supposed to be the next Saints super bowl in their own city has turned into a joke and exhausting 4 months. From a scandal filled offseason with limited draft picks, a record breaking terrible defense, and Brees having the worst three game stretch of his career; to the rumors of Sean Payton leaving the beloved black and gold for the likes of the silver and blue. The notion of this team going out week to week like a wounded animal and giving it their all makes me proud to be a Saints Fan. I hate seeing these players, Brees in particular trying so hard to do that little bit extra to carry the team and it burns them. Last time I saw Brees play even close to what hes shown over the last three weeks, was in 2008 when he had to carry this team to the extent of impossibility. I have all of the faith in the world that Loomis and Benson will retain Sean Payton, Spags, and the right players to make this team successful again. Here are some points from this season that I have kept in mind:

-I am done with Devery Henderson. Too many dropped passes and poor effort on run plays. After seeing him just standing around on Colston's fumble yesterday when he had 2 clear chances to jump on the ball, it is time to move on.

- Brees is not the same player he was last year but by no means should this team be looking for a replacement. Brees is still top 3 in this league and I know he will come out next week and next year showing his old ways. I do however think the Saints need to start thinking about the future and not Chase Daniel.

- Loomis' primary objective for this coming offseason is QB pressure and finding players to fit Spags' system. Secondly, finding quality OL help.

- Chris Ivory has got to be used as trade bait in order to find help in the area listed above. I know eveyrone loves him, but these days RB is a dime a dozen position and he is very good but by no means untouchable.

- I want nothing to do with any LB from Notre Dame in the draft. Get some big SEC guys with endurance and stamina to play in the NFL.

You can add Roman Harper to that list.

I agree with you about Devery. He had a decent career but we can find a wr that can do the things he does in the draft or free agency. His best days are behind him.

I'm not sure if this was a longer three years or the JJ/JL three years were longer as a LSU fan too. God, either way, talk about BAD.
