I just recently found the mighty 690 through TuneIn Radio. Its so nice not listening to m&m or the local gamecock sports stations. loving it!

while kaare is certainly a stranger to modesty...I love the show. He's brutally honest, he doesn't hold back and he can be entertaining. I don't always agree with him, but he definitely discusses more interesting topics than anyone at 870. Kaare is the best show in New Orleans when you examine the alternatives

literally for 2 weeks all you could find on talk radio was the LSU barfight...kaare commented on the topic for a few days and examined it from a different perspective, but the show covers so many topics and that is exactly what i find appealing about it. I am so fricking sick of talk radio in NOLA because it is so terrible. If someone funny and really entertaining ever goes on air in NOLA, it is lights out for 870 (ok a bit of hyperbole, but they'd be in trouble)

Wasn't a falling out from what I hear. He was doing the show remote from Baton Rouge and the logistics of that plus all his other gigs just wasn't working.
He will supposedly call into the show throughout the season sporadically, but its just BAW now I guess.
