I imagine we would start resting players for the last two weeks of the season.

If we were to go 2-0 or 0-2 in those two final games, and our seeding wouldn’t be impacted, that’s what I would do. Especially the O line.

If the Bears beat the Rams next week and we handle business against a pesky Bucs team...then all bets are off.

Edited to denote the difference between "rapped" and "wrapped."

if the 1 seed is still possible, you play it out

if we can't get the 1... then sit everyone

Agreed. Especially O-Line & guys with lingering injuries...like Davenport.

I would only sit those who are banged up. 3 weeks is too long a layoff. I’d use the time to get a ton of reps for the young wide receivers. I’d also go sparingly on Kamara and Ingram

Maybe even... Brees/Taysom Hill for the 1st half. Teddy/Taysom Hill for the 2nd half.

I'd like to see what Teddy & Taysom can do together.

Is there a scenario where we have #2 wrapped and can't go up or down with 2 games to go?

Teddy & Taysom sounds like an 80s Buddy Cop movie.

we win next week and the Rams beat the Bears and then we beat Carolina the following week.

Activate Brandon Marshall and start resting injured players. As others have pointed out, 3 weeks is too long of a layoff.

but it wouldn't be "locked up"

the 1 seed would still be possible

coaches will never assume another team will just win because of who they're playing

the only way we'd start to see back-ups in your scenario is the 2nd half against Carolina in the Dome if/when the Rams have a big lead built over the 49ers

This!

If this plays out then the Saints would have the Bye week wrapped up. Rams play Philly the same week Saints play @ Car; IMO Chi & Philly are only legit shots to beat Rams (and that's a stretch for Philly).

They would still have a "shot" at the #1 seed, but would require the Rams to lose to @ Cards, or SF.

Rams last two games would not be a challenge if they had to win them.

I think the Bears beating the Rams is our last hope.

Why give up on playing one less playoff game and home field?

Never mind. Poor reading skills

If the Rams beat the Bears, we are the 2 seed. Just beat Carolina and nothing else matters.

Yea, I can't see anyone besides the Bears beating the Rams. The rest of their schedule is the definition of a cake walk.

Hopefully the weather is harsh during Sunday night in Chicago...also hopefully Trubisky plays.

Trubisky should play on Sunday. I think I heard he was cleared yesterday, but sat him for safe measure. Turned out to bite them in the butt.

Good news. Trubisky is basically our only hope for the #1 seed.
