Ian Rapoport
@RapSheet
#Saints QB Drew Brees, who visited a specialist following his team’s loss to the #Rams, is believed to have a ligament issue on his throwing thumb, per
@TomPelissero
and me. The team will know the full extent today, but he’s looking at missing some game time.

It seems obvious to me that he’s going to miss some game time, the question is how much.

Hopefully it’s only a few weeks and we can hang on until he’s able to come back.

If it's 4-5 week, I think we can overcome it

4 to 5 is manageable
6 to 8 and it's not looking good.
thought the consensus last night was around 5 or 6.
so say we go 2-4 so 3-5 and drew comes back

If it is 2-4 weeks I think we will be alright. Longer than that I don't think we will be able to overcome.

I think we can possibly recover from 3-5 maybe even 3-6 in our division but that would be asking for damn near perfection in the last 7 weeks.

I think it's going to be 8 weeks.

If we win 4 of those games (4 of 7) we are in fine shape. Bucs, Jags, Cardinals + 1 more.

If we only get 3, it's going to be tough. But, the back half of our schedule seems pretty manageable. If the 8 weeks holds, this would be the schedule that Brees would face:

* Bucs
* Panthers
* Falcons
* 49ers
* Colts
* Titans
* Panthers
