I would not be surprised if Mickey Loomis "retires" into ownership, essentially

I know nothing of this, but I would not be surprised if Mickey basically took a role with Lauscha and the ownership helping to act as de facto owners of both teams.
And Ireland takes on Loomis's role in total.

I don’t get why people keep talking about Loomis becoming part of ownership. Is Gayle just going to give him part of the team? I know he’s got money, but he doesn’t have ownership money. Why would this make sense for Gayle?
