We didn’t overpay for Taysom. When he’s in his traditional role he saves us roster spots on Sunday to where we can activate an additional receiver or extra OL or whatever we need

That's not worth $7-10M in cap hits per year.

If we are being real, MW wasnt going to be worth the money either way.

ETA. I agree we overpaid for Taysom, but I’m glad we didn’t do it again with MW

Maybe he’s worth that to the Ravens, but we can’t afford 15 mil for a safety when we already have a 20 mil corner and severe cap problems. Taysoms albatross contract likely doesn’t change that reality.

It’s like people think we’re paying Taysom 100 million dollars

It doesn’t matter if he walks on water. They gave Roby 10 mil, Marshon 20, and had Jenkins on a 8 mil per year deal when this all bubbled up. You would have ended up with 25% of your cap tied up in 4 players. They really weren’t in a position to give him market value.

Don't think that's it Brah.

Break down the cost per touch and that is where some get a bit testy.

Most overrated safety in the league.
Dude never gave over the top help to anyone. Always left our CBs on an Island.

Was responsible for 2 big time play off losses.

Cant get him out of here fast enough.

Saints should have given the money to Tywin Matthew 6 years ago. You need experience on that back end. Marcus Williams didnt have it.

He was 7-2 as a backup QB playing a volume of roles at the request of the team. We have no idea about his volume moving forward at this point w the full time switch to flex.

The guy makes something like 50k per touch.

They just made him a TE and he’s already making top 10 TE $$$

Mathieu isn't even a free safety. He's more of a box-nickel guy

He’s played a lot of FS over his career. I’d rather see what we have in Ceedy and Taylor than pay Matthieu though.

Me? I hope and expect that they work the sh!t out of him. Don't care a whit about saving him due to...blah blah blah injuries. He is good with the ball in his hands so get him the damn ball.
