I have a feeling Payton may start Winston this week.

So I’m not a huge fan of pulling a quarterback you went 2-0 with. This has nothing to do with the way Taysom played this week. He did what was asked of him. That being said let’s take a look at something Payton said when they announced Taysom starting.

Payton said that he would need both quarterbacks down the stretch. I would not be shocked at all if he lets the Falcons think Taysom is starting all week then runs Jameis out there. Payton is looking for a competitive advantage each week and this would be the way to get one.

This is something I could really see happening.

Agreed. This is a win by any means necessary. And putting a capable guy out there that there is no real film on in this offense gives you a very good shot to win.

This would make a lot more sense if we hadn’t run the same Saints offense we run with any QB with taysom last time.

He had like 3 running plays. Everything else was the same plays we’d call with drew or Winston.

So the game plan would be the same

Also. You posted your opinion, someone responded “wouldn’t surprise me” and then you responded to that with “agreed”. Lol. No shite dude it’s your opinion haha

I agree. Jameis has played the Falcons many times, but the Falcons have never played the Saints with Jameis. Beating the same team 3 weeks apart is not a given, look at the Titans-Colts. Trying something different to get the upper hand is definitely not a bad idea.

Yeah it’s win by any means necessary to hold onto that one seed. It’s not like Jameis is an incompetent QB. The advantage of a team not being able to prepare for the QB playing is massive.

9/16, 78 yards, 1 INT
10 Rush, 44 yards, 2 TD

Common sense should dictate playing Winston while still implementing Hill's designed run plays and/or RPO's.

Buttttt the Falcons are total poo and let Hill do the following:

18/23, 233 yards
10 Rush, 49 yards, 2 TD

I'd probably ride with Hill against the Falcons. Anyone else, the former.

Or he's a guy that doesn't have THAT much time learning the offense. I'm not saying he will or won't do well, but to assume it's a very good shot BECAUSE of no film is a little short sighted.

Not really when you hear players say how complicated it is in their first season as a saint.

If you look at the facts, not "i have a feeling" you'll see that the team is in a battle for the #1 seed and has a backup (possible future) QB that is 2-0.

why on Earth do you think he'd want to mess with that, much less dp it at this time?
