I would love for Willis to be there at 19 because we could absolutely fleece someone by trading back.

Then you’ll get a really good DT or LBer at 16. While it won’t fit an immediate need, it will help keep the defense as the strength of the team.

If the draft shakes out that way with all the top tackles and wrs gone (doubt it ) that means a STUD at another position has dropped in our lap. We’re gonna be alright. I feel better about this draft without Sean cutesy Payton in the war room.

I don’t care what else they end up doing but they have to do what they need to get Penning. He’s a day 1 franchise LT. You can just tell some guys are real dogs out on the field and he plays football extremely violently. He and Ramcyzk for the next 5-10 years would be hard to beat. Then I’m telling Ruiz and Peat both they have to compete with Hurst and Throckmorton for their spots.

The penning worship on here is making me think that dude will end up being a big ol bust.

CBS's mock draft has us picking Malik Willis at #16 and Penning at #19 but if we end up taking Willis which I hope we don't I think it will be at #19 and Penning at #16. We really need that quality tackle. I would take either Cross or Penning.

If it did end up with 4 WR and 4 tackles taken then I like the situation the Saints are in. At 16 they could take the best available and get a stud player. Then they might could trade 19 to someone who wants to jump in front of the Steelers.

It's been said all long this is a deep draft in some positions like WR. They would be fine adding a 2 or 3 round pick to get Wr's or best available players.

I'm also not so sure the Saints are Gung ho to draft a T. I've read articles that they are kinda high on Hurst playing LT.

Willing to bet he's a first round pick.

Any takers?

I'm higher on Cross. He is best pure pass blocker in the Draft. Penning is nasty AF but it takes more finesse to pass block. Hate on project peat all you want but he is a beast run blocking and is terrible in protection. Scares me to draft another guy that may be similar. Unfortunately I don't think Cross will be there at 16.

Hear me out now, none of these guys really know what the hell is going on and 99.9% of mocks will be wrong just as it is every year.

All it will take for the QBs is one of them. Them teams panic and start snagging them.
