Some models still have Helene at a TS by the time it makes it's way up to Atlanta. A poster in the storm thread on the OT said Atlanta was a mess for days last time that happened as they have a ton of trees and are not equipped fora quick clean up something like this. I hope it does not happen and the game is played as scheduled.

That being said, if they lose power and have to move the game here are a few options:

Dallas (cowboys away)
Nashville (titans away/will also have shite weather but should clear by Sun)
Miami- Dolphins host MNF
Washington- commanders away

Texans are home
Tampa is home and will have their own issues

I assume they would want the game as far away from NOLA as possible

Unless it changes it's strongly heading to NWFL.

Would it not make sense to just flip the 2 game locations, play here this weekend then at ATL at the end?

I’d bet the Superdome is booked for something else most away dates

Saints would never agree to that. Attendance wouldn’t be the same as a scheduled game and workers/concessions on short notice would be a major PITA

I mean it will happen, but looks like it’s going through late Thursday/early Friday.
Plenty of time to clean up from TS type winds. They may have a back up plan for a worst case scenario, but it shouldn’t impact a Sunday game

it's atlanta's home game, no way they are playing that in New Orleans
Dallas would probably be the best solution

Saints made Packers play in Jacksonville when they had to move a game

Louisiana folks should know better than anyone that it's not just the storm itself. It's losing power, not being able to get in touch with employees, police needed for more important issues, etc.

I hope they don't have any of the issues above, it was just a "what if" thread to discuss other options if worst case scenario (for Atlanta) happens

Atlanta's home games are already like a Saints home game.
