How would you feel about Eli Manning being the Saints QB next year?

Father and son playing for the same team. I love the idea.

Who is declining faster? Drew or Eli?

Not sure. Brees is 38 & Eli is 36. They're both at the declining age. Based on their numbers, Eli is though. Brees' QB rating is literally 20 points higher.

Nobody declined faster than Eli's brother though. He went from a Pro Bowler to one of the worst starting QB's in the NFL...in 1 year. His arm (the last year he played) was weaker than Chad Pennington's arm.

No thanks! He's way past his prime. Throws more floaters than anyone else in the NFL. If N.O. moves away from Drew Brees, it needs a young upcoming QB.

I’d rather have Drew. Then Cousins. Then Case Keenum. Then Mayfield or another rookie.

Maybe then Eli.

When Drew has to be replaced it is not going to be with an old dinosaur.

Only if Cooper plays WR. We need someone that can get separation.

Not sure I want a 37 year old that gave up on his team. Sure the Giants suck, but I can't ever see Brees doing that.

Per rotoworld...

Stunningly, hilariously, bafflingly, they are turning to Geno Smith. Third-rounder Davis Webb will also be given playing time down the stretch of the Giants' lost season. The team apparently gave Manning the option of starting Sunday's game before giving away to Smith, but he declined. Manning has made 210 consecutive starts, the second longest streak in NFL history behind only Brett Favre's 297.

It's embarrassing Manning has been benched for Smith, a proven failed option at quarterback. Webb at least offers unknown, theoretical upside. If Manning plays in 2018, it will be elsewhere.

You're being more than a bit of an a-hole, and I imagine deliberately misrepresenting what happened.

They offered to let him start the game just so he could keep his starting streak going, but told him that they were going to replace him after letting him get that start. He declined because it would tarnish the record. He didn't give up on his team. His team let him know they were giving up on him, and he decided to step down.
