No. No no no no no…. NO!

This is the last thing we should do. It’s time to burn it down and start fresh.

It's only a 2 year deal.

This is the least of the problems.

His contract isn't going to matter by the time they get out from under all this dead money.

It's going to delay getting out from under the dead money.

The tens of millions he has on his deal now will force money into 26 and 27 (both from him and other players)

Other players?
Why throw them on top of AK for heavens sake.

Been…you’re a fricking idiot that abuses animals. No one cares about your retarded takes on anything, you defended Carr and this regime for too long, go sit your dumb fricking arse in the corner and shut the frick up.

Don’t really understand how any Saints fan could disagree. It was a moronic decision, especially in light of the firing of DA and the trading of Lattimore. Hopefully this sudden change in direction is a sign of the end of Loomis as Saints GM.

Keeping proven performers is never a bad thing.

Trading a proven performer in the hope of making room for a bunch of unproven talent is the definition of utterly stupid.

These are statements of teams in competition.

Apply these statements to a bottom-dwelling team and tell me how they make sense.

You also forgot to include his age, so please don't leave that out in the above analysis.

If you want to try and win games to be relevant. The Saints are not.

You are not trading to try to get better now. Use the picks to get younger, and do a complete rebuild, all while getting out of salary cap hell.

I hope the Saints don't win another game this year.

Washington got rid of certain players who were talented and needed to be paid a premium. Not all of them.

They still kept players they felt could help a young QB and offense. They still kept young defensive players they saw had talent. You can't decide to sell everyone off, get a Qb, and go 'okay good luck'

That's just stupid. That's what Carolina did.

Well we won’t be selling everyone. The Saints will have a ton of carry over on the roster bc they have no choice. Keeping Kamara does zero for you in a rebuild.

You can get a 3rd rd RB for 4 years for under $6 mil total. You could just attempt to establish a RB of the future while saving a ton of money

well in fairness to Alvin he was earning every penny when we had an Oline the 1st 2 games. once the injuries happened, his production went to shite - cannot put all of the fault on him.

We have Carr for 2 more seasons likely, min.

We are in a multi-year tear down, before we start a rebuild.

You think we're drafting a QB this draft to try to rebuild now? With Carr on our books?

well at the time of the resigning - we have not gone to shite, and had intentions of being a contender - not front runner, but contending for a playoff spot - but injuries and DA happened.

you can't fully go back and tear the decision down now, compared to where we were when it happened.

you can argue Carr for sure, but the Alvin signing was good for where we were and what his productivity was through 2 games.

what you are doing is using the product of where we are now, to validate your opinion - and that is a little disingenuous at best.

We had lost 5 in a row when we extended Kamara

2-5, injured Carr and everyone else.

Not to mention the best player on our team that really never gets beat up. I’m glad he has a chance to retire a Saint.
