New England won plenty without trading up much, Kansas City and Cincy win too. I know the Rams traded picks for another player already on roster.

Cincy had the #1 overall pick. Who were they supposed to trade up with?

You trade up for guys you see as generational talents. Falcons did it for Julio and everyone laughed at them for making a win now mode with their team at the time. It worked out pretty well for them. DA and company see Olave as the best receiver in this draft. I am perfectly fine with this trade up, as I would have been if they traded up for one of the two impact corners last year.

Patriots are one of the worst drafting NFL teams. Not a good example if you're trying to win a debate.

Not everything. He owes the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills also.

Dumb thread. Rams GM literally wore a shirt that said “F this draft picks.” They built their team through free agency by trading away most of their picks.

New England is notoriously bad at drafting under Bill Belechick. They were just lucky to have the best QB in history. Seriously, go back and look at their draft pick history. They would move back and acquire additional picks and then waste them on players that were out of the league or mostly unproductive.

It’s about quality of players over quantity of players…especially when you have good players and limited roster spots. I like that they are aggressive in their pursuit of the players that they want.
