How can Loomis watch this team and think “this is fine”

He cannot possibly watch this product and DA and think “yeah we are on the right track. We will win a SB in the near future”
Is he just 100% fine with at best mediocrity to hold on a little longer?
Delusional?

Because he can’t lose his job unless they bring in a competent head coach who looks at him and asks the owner why he’s here.

How do you know that’s what he’s thinking?

I guarantee you he’s not happy

Loomis doesn’t give a F-. He’s living better than 95 % of the citizens in this state.

Loomis knows Gayle not gonna fire him, as long as they stay in the playoffs hunt. He can stay .500 for life, nothing happens.

Sadly true and something I have been saying for awhile.
Worst case scenario for him is failing up and becoming the de facto owner

Loomis is a major part of the problem

Nearly every game in the NFL is close, it's what the NFL wants. Look at the scores week in and week out. Only two or three teams have separated themselves, but they too will play in close games.

Does that mean he doesn’t care? Good to know!

I’m not defending Allen but our front office isn’t building a championship roster

Because he knows he could take a shite on Gayle’s desk and not get fired.

Gayle doesn't have a desk
