Support your data. Look up every tackle he has had in the last 4 years with a comprehensive study of when and where it happened on the field with an in depth analysist of how it affected the outcome of the game.

Or you know you could just continue being a troll which has way better odds of happening if we are being honest.

I’d rather keep Williams and cut Jenkins to sign Honey Badger. Think Jenkins was a three year deal but we could get out of it after two years if we had to.

I think jenkins would save 7.7 but leave 3.9 and 3.9 this year and next.

They need to re-sign williams and pj. You'd have to cut jenkins.

No way are they signing both williams and mathieu. Mathieu will probably get 9 or 10 mil.

They should have just tagged him a second year. The tag for safeties isn’t bad. Woukd be 12 this year. You hang on to young talent. Rather cut Jenkins if it means keeping Williams.

That probably tells you he is gone and they have a particular number they won't go over.

Pj played decent but he is nowhere near a marcus williams.

They should've used a pick on a safety in the last draft.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens.

am i the only one who would rather 25 year old marcus williams over 29 year old mathieu? why wouldn't we tag williams? we're really going to let one of the best young safeties in the league walk just like that?

That would not be a even swap based on how the saints play. Badger is used basically how the saints used Malcom Jenkins the Super Bowl season. At safety sometimes but mostly on the line as a line backer or as a slot corner. You need a side line to sideline cover safety. Williams never plays on the line.

At KC he was, but I believe he was more of a true FS when he was in AZ

Id rather williams as well. But it seems to be a foregone conclusion he priced himself out. Ill miss him

But this is the best plan B you can hope for.

Sounds like honey badger tried to deal with the chiefs a year ago and priced himself out.

Just wonder how much he is looking for.

If it is somewhere around 9 mil id do it. Any higher and they should've just given williams the tag.

Hes a couple of years too late.
He could have made a difference pre 18.

Can't imagine Dennis Allen's defense working without a great single-high safety.

It’s worked without one so far.

I'm not an M.Williams fan, and have advocated for us only paying him a certain dollar amount or letting him walk, But to say he is not a good single high safety is a bad take. That's one thing he is good at

Marcus Williams is a pussy.

Let him walk and sign Pat P to end his final years as a FS with Badger beside him
