Honestly, the saints D weren’t really good last year either

Hear me out..go back to last season and look at the stats given up to the teams with actual starting caliber qb’s. I mean they were absolutely terrible Saturday but I think we need to expect, especially with this schedule, they will be getting torched through the air a lot this season

we got a lot of turnovers last year. Yeah they put up a lot of yards but we have our offense more opportunities off those turnovers.

The only difference between good NFL defense and bad NFL defense is the ability to cause turnovers and/or get off the field on 3rd down.

I mean they were excellent last year against against peterman, trubisky, hundley, Fitzpatrick, and Bryce frickin petty lol

Even if they weren’t great, they still were decent. That’s all Drew needs them to be but they can’t even do that most of the time. Hell even just below average would be enough.

they weren't a top 10 defense, but they were average.
that's all we need.

Lattimore looks like a one hit wonder. He was absolute garbage last Sunday. He got dusted by fricking Mike Evans. He’s going to be another bust for New Orleans on defense, just like Rankins

You are high as frick if you think the Saints D wasnt very good last year. Best D in a long time was last year.

I wouldn’t say long time unless you consider 4 years a long time. 2013 defense was elite.
