Cadet has shown he can do more than run into a defender really hard.

There has been other running backs the last couple of years that ran hard and caught the ball well and didn't make the cut. The kid from Wisconsin was a player but he tried so hard to make the team he got hurt two years in a row. See if Cadet stays healthy before you put him on the team.

Cadet is a player.

The WR battle is the most interesting. I'm curious to see if Saints cut a veteran for a younger guy. Like cut Henderson so Morgan can take his spot.

Morgan looked great last year. I'm not impressed with him at all so far this year. I've noticed him getting thrown around on his routes too.

Will the Saints cut such a high pick in Toon before he ever got the ability to show something?

Arrington needs to be cut. Seriously. This dude is the ultimate practice warrior who never shows ANYTHING on the field. And you tap him and his vag bleeds. Injury prone. It's time to move on from him.

Tanner is the most consistent, so he might get a spot.

Roby is the ultimate preseason warrior. Always looks good in preseason, never sees any meaningful snaps during the season outside ST. He'll probably get a spot.

That's a big jam to deal with...

That link was interesting. WR is the battle everyone should watch, IMO.

I don't get the praise for Cadet either. So, he's a little versatile so far. He hasn't shown shite in the run game though. Not enough, IMO. Ivory is a truck to take down but his fumble problems are a concern. Injuries too.

PT is the best screen back and Sproles is also a good receiver. Ingram is a power back and Ivory is his replacement. I don't see Cadet making this team unless he makes huge strides in the run game. All four of our current backs compliment each other. Who would Cadet replace? He seems like a ok WR but he doesn't show a lot of speed or power...

I am in the minority here, but I agree with this. This seems like such a tough call. 2 guys we've yet to see; Toon and Arrington, Roby coming up huge, Morgan up and down (yet with so much potential), Tanner playing his arse off... This is some heated stuff.

For me, it's DT.

With Roby cementing his spot, AA most likely going to IR, & Morgan on his way to getting cut for inconsistency , the WR battle comes down to Toon or Tanner. I really could care less if, Toon or Tanner get placed on PS or makes the final 53. Either one that gets the last spot will probably be inactive most of the year and/or have minimal touches, even with an injury to a starter so I'm fine with whomever the coaches choose.

Whereas, DT has been a key issue for us to upgrade and so far through preseason has been the key to freeing up our DE's into one-on-one matchups. With Bunkley & Ellis now as solid starters, Hicks and someone else not named Swanson Miller (Ayodele, Walker, or Johnson) will be key backups in rotation and as injury insurance for our starters. I'm pulling for Walker cuz it's in vogue to pull for fresh meat that we have never seen before who knows how to dominate 3rd stringers.

Hopefully we never have to use our 4th RB.

Now with that said as far this preseason Ivory looks like shite! Cadet has looked great! But Ivory has a little edge just because of his experience. But really I couldn't give three shits which one leaves and which one stays.

Ivory gets the benefit of the doubt. He is a young veteran that has proven he can play in live action. He carries a 5.0 YPC over 2 seasons.

Cadet has 23 yards on 15 carries in 2 meaningless preseason games. He has a long run of 7 yards. He has to do much more to beat out a guy like Ivory.

Whodatfan, let me address something here. Your posts have zero substance. You come across of having the IQ of a tree stump. We get it, you think you are a bad arse. In reality you are some computer geek that makes sig pics for fun. You're not fooling anyone by using curse words. White trash.

Not sure about Spags, but GW has carried only 3DTs in the past. I doubt that they do it again, but I don't think it's out of the question given Cam looking like he'll be playing on the inside on 3rd down. If they do carry 4, I think Ayodele makes it with Bunkley/Ellis/Hicks. Walker tore shite up in the first game, but with Hicks being a bit of a project, they will go with a more proven guy.

I really hope that we don't carry 2 FBs again, though.

I tell it like it is a-hole. I dont need to post a bunch of football rhetoric to make myself look like a fricking football guru. However, you run around here with a chip on your shoulder acting like your word is the end all and anyone who thinks different is wrong. I swear you are the second coming of SFP with your bullshite shtick.
