We couldn’t afford to keep him. It sucks but that’s just the business

On top of that Vonn Bell has 2 INTs

Hendrickson is better than Davenport and Jordan.

As a 3rd down pass rusher. He isn't on the early downs

He wasn't better than Jordan at New Orleans. Only his last year there was even close. He got more sacks that year but fewer tackles.
He also played all 16 regular season games for Nola exactly 0 times.

It’s about asset allotment. Saints prioritzed paying Peat and Malcolm Jenkins. They could have easily kept him. Just like giving a backup qb close to ten mill a year. It’s priorities.

yep, If we let Hill and Peat walk, we could've kept Bell and Hendrickson.
Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. We lost those deals.

After we shed $100m in the cap, y’all still believe we didn’t have enough??? Imagine having Trey Bell and Williams still… Maye and Mathieu are big downgrades to Bell & Williams.

The problem is not how much it took to keep him, it was the evaluation of him. We had him in house and they determined they needed to trade up for someone like Davenport. If we never make that trade, Trey is still a Saint.

You realize there are consequences for how we shed cap space right? The money doesn’t just disappear. We kick it down the road. Now add another 30 million to the money we are already kicking down the road.

And you do realize by kicking the can it gives time for dead money and other larger contracts to fall off, i.e. Brees
