fricking idiots...you definitely keep stecker, campbell, and brunell

Whenever Stecker gets in the game, he always produces. Keep him. IMO Shockey was a waste, Campbell played better and was healthy all season as far as I know. Jason David has to go unless we start playing more cover 2. He cannot handle man 2 man. Brunell...give or take.

Gotta ask this though...Who thinks Pierre Thomas can and is ready to shoulder the load as a big back. I think he has proven himself

What has Brunell done to justify getting the boot? He is obviously a good backup to have, other than age, there is no reason. And I don't believe we could get a rookie QB to come in and learn the offense any quicker.

Roman Harper has been the best safety the Saints have had since Sammy Knight.
That's not saying much.

What the hell has Strief done except play masterfully when put in? I'd rather get rid of Jammal Brown and let Strief have his job.

Mark Campbell was playing well before his injury. Roman Harper would be decent if they had an outstanding safety to pair with him.

While that may be true, you can't just get rid of him without knowing what we will get in return at that position.

What about Jason David, or do you think he could work well in the nickel and dime package?

He's done nothing...period.
That's not a knock on him because that's what you hope your backup does, because that means your starter is playing well.
The real question is: Is he worth $4.7mill a year?

That's awesome, because Sammy Knight was frickin' terrible.

No. That's why the Saints will stick with Joey Harrington at #2 next year.

For what it's worth, Brunell will make $1.1MM next year and Harrington is signed to an undisclosed contract, according to Rotoworld.

Rotoworld is not always right. Who really knows, other than the front office.
According to Fox Sports, he made $4,745,00.00 last year. I was assuming he'd make at least that much this coming season.

It's possible that his contract was front-loaded.

Maybe. If that's the case and he'll make $1.1mill this coming season, I don't think he's going anywhere. Why frontload a contract only to cut him, unless he flat out sucks in training camp?

If we had some real CB's then Harper wouldn't look bad at all.
Let me help you with that one....If we had real safeties then our corners wouldn't look so bad.
