He would be fine if we played primarily cover-2 defense. We play mostly m2m. When he is out there alone w/o any help over the top is when he gets burned. You are right though, he bites on everything.

how much more experience do you want? he is highly respected in the NFL as one of the best defensive minds out there and he is aggressive.

you are right, it was not the offense's fault. it was the TEAM'S fault for the losses. we could not close out a game. with the exception of the first carolina and atlanta game, in which we were blown out by halftime, the saints were in every other game with the lead or a chance to take the lead in the end and could not close it out. that is the reason we lost. don't even think about just blaming the defense.

Whenever Stecker gets in the game, he always produces. Keep him. IMO Shockey was a waste, Campbell played better and was healthy all season as far as I know. Jason David has to go unless we start playing more cover 2. He cannot handle man 2 man. Brunell...give or take.

Gotta ask this though...Who thinks Pierre Thomas can and is ready to shoulder the load as a big back. I think he has proven himself

True, he threw too many INT's but he was leading or near the top in every other major category. The fact that he nearly broke Marino's record should have been enough. He threw 34 TD passes, tied for the league lead there as well. IMO, if the Saints had made the playoffs instead of being a mediocre 8-8, Brees would have been an easy choice. Show the man some love. He deserves it. :bow: :dude:
