Long overdue. Is he still practice squad eligible?

What a waste of a 3rd round pick.

So that 2015 draft is looking almost as bad as 2014 right about now

Makes sense if the plan was to PS him the whole time. Wait until mid week when teams are settling their rosters and sneak him on the PS.

Also explains why we kept a PS spot open.

More than likely he will be added to practice squad when he clears waivers. They currently have an open spot

The Saints good reputation in the draft was nothing more than catching lightning in a bottle several years ago. They are, by and large, middling at evaluating talent.

Drafting across the NFL is a cr@p shoot, especially lately IMO b/c of the "spread" type offenses being run in College.

we have obvious intentions of wanting him on PS but obvious disappointment in development. I'd stay there's still a chance of him developing into a nice backup here.

Just another example of wasting a draft pick and now having to overspend on veterans to fill a position.

But, but, but its that mean ol brees's fault

Exactly, but you'll get hammered for pointing out the obvious.

When is the last time you saw a team this close to opening day making so many desperation moves. They're trying to plug as many holes with warm bodies as they can and it's not going to end well.

this is actually not surprising

Saints suck at drafting, period. And have for nearly a decade
