Good to see Mayfield on a winning team. Hope the Bucs go far in the playoffs.

He's got weapons to work with and a good OL. He could have been had by the Saints. Time for the Saints to go into rebuild mode, but they will be hampered by Loomis' pay up later contracts as dead money towards the cap.

He definitely earned his $4 million. Carr’s agent bent Loomis over.

They'll most likely give him a big contract this offseason, and it will probably be a mistake

Tampa is going to be in a tough spot. Either pay baker and lock him in, but this is as good as he’s going to get. Or let him walk and you’re stuck.

Given the division they’ll probably pay him using the same logic we did to sign carr.

Why do we care about Baker Mayfield? What did I miss?

Because Saints could have had him or Jared Goff, and both seem to be headed to the playoffs. Saints have Carr, injury prone and headed no where.

The implication being that he wasn’t on a winning team because he never had weapons and a good OL to work with before

When could the saints have had Jared Goff?

Also this team would probably be no better with Baker. The o line is terrible

Right after Lions traded him for Stafford. They were contemplating the possibility of not keeping him.

Any team in the nfl could have gotten him and got a first or second round pick to take him or his contract on.
