During the summer, my Mom moved to Detroit and I, having never been to an away game, jumped at the opportunity to book a work trip there and go to the game.

So, I paid good money for GREAT seats to watch my "All In" team play for victory.

Now...am I just going to a bloodbath?

Enjoy. Ford Field is a great venue. Go to Greektown after the game for dinner.

the Saints are traditionally good after a Bye week but we are also traditionally a playoff team under Sean Payton. So, there's that.

absolutely not...Sean Payton, and especially Drew Brees are fantastic after bye weeks.

...it's no sure thing, but I would say a "bloodbath" or blowout is very unlikely

The Detroit offense will be the best offense the Saints will have played all season to that point.

And the game is IN Detroit.

I expect them to score 35-40 points on the Saints, but I don't think 50 is out of the question.

WTF is that supposed to mean?

Anyway, I'm keeping the tickets and hoping for the best...certainly banking on past success after bye's.

They will most likely take the run away, so I expect us to air it out. A little worried about our O-line in this game, too.

Probably, but just keep your eyes forward until you reach your destination. Whatever you do, DO NOT STOP! The game should be exciting.

We're averaging a 20 ppg victory after a bye since 2009

So at least we have that going for us

Great qbs have a huge advantage after a bye. Plus the home teams preparation advantage is nil

By the time that game rolls around, Detroit will have already imploded. So no, could even be a win.
