I could see that happening in this sense:
Glenn’s first choice is to be coach of the Saints wo Loomis. He knows he has the Jets job in the bag.
He asks if that is an option because he has nothing to lose. If Gayle agrees (Jax owner just fired his GM when top candidates didn’t want to work with him), then he gets his first choice. If not, he takes the Jets and gets a voice in who the GM is. Win-Win.

Need a better source but Gayle benson is going to destroy both of these franchises regardless. Y’all don’t hate her enough
I don’t harbor any hatred towards the woman, but the sell the team crowd here is now vindicated and proven correct all along.

Ya'll believe anything, that wasn't true.

Folks are acting like some stable, well run org stole a coach out from under us
Nope, folks are reacting a coach in demand with multiple offers who told the Saints what they need to do to make the job more desirable. Glenn didn’t suggest something that isn’t suggested here daily.
What people are struggling with is now it’s obvious no coach worth their salt wants to work for Loomis except Rizzi.

From a friend who works within the organization on the medical side, not management, Glenn made ut known that whomever he signed with was going to have to open up that position and allow him input on the next GM. He wants to be given a chance on his terms,.

Nope
An interview is not a job offer. There were 7 openings originally and Glenn only interviewed for 2. You are being a dramatic lil baby boy

Everyone watching this search knows Glenn was the guy until he publicly shamed the Saints naming the Jets as the preferred destination.
Now the report and confirmed by the above Oschner poster reflects the playbook for any coach. As expected the coach wants to pick his GM to come to the Saints.
Since Loomis decided not to fire himself, and of all the remaining candidates only Rizzi won’t make this demand he’ll be the last man standing.

Not sure you know what “confirmed” means.
