Giants looking to trade kadarius Toney

I'd be interested if the price is right. Seems like he'd be a good compliment to Thomas

If they think he’s worth the headache. If so, I think CJ can help us land him

He's got plenty ability but was always considered a headcase and if they're trading him this fast it more than backs that up.

No thanks. He must be a major trouble maker if they’re looking to dump him after just one season.

i remember he had a nice outing against us last year and then followed it up with almost 200 yards receiving against Dallas the next week.
other than that, he was either hurt or ineffective.
never a good sign if a team is shopping a player after just one season though.
Ability and talent wise there is a lot to like and I don't reckon the asking price will be too steep.
I'd vote for just brining in some new blood through the draft or maybe even still via free agency?

This would be incredible and he’s a perfect fit for us.

quote:I'm curious as to what they'd get for him if a trade happens. The Jets have been looking for WRs and might overpay?!? It's the Jets. I know the Saints FO would already have an idea on what they think of him as far as fit/value.

i don't have the first clue man
his upside was on display for all of two games last year before he got hurt (ankle).
when he played against us last year, I think it had more to do with Sterling Shepard and Daruis Slayton being unavailable.
honestly i don't know why they would want to jettison him so fast. I mean Golladay sucked arse but he isn't going anywhere cause of the contract he has.

Look deeper, the kid is a head case. NO!

Uh frick yeah.
Dude is a poor man’s Tyreke Hill.
Would be a fantastic compliment to MT13 and actually give us someone electric in the WR group.
Giants are such a dumpster fire of a roster. They have a few skill pieces with really high potential but their trenches are a complete disaster. Maybe they’re hoping to cash in and remedy that a bit.

Mid round pick. It was already a concern but now he's really going to have the "problem child" tag.

quote:If it's a 3rd-4th round pick (with maybe another later round pick), I would definitely explore and be on board. Speculative addition with the hope the leadership on the team can reel him in.

I'd do it on Madden.

It would at least mean you could go OT then BPA in the first round or maybe still get a second outside WR in the first and use Toney as a slot guy with that speed and athleticism.
I think I'd rather someone more proven/not a headcase like Landry in that spot though and just take someone like Olave in the first as a speed guy

quote:If my understanding is correct, Toney would still be on a rookie deal and only cost draft stock. Landry would cost much more cap space - but easily more proven.

If, by chance, we do trade for Toney, I'd still draft a WR with one of our top 3 picks, but like you said BPA.

People complain about mike yet say this dude who great. A guy who the giants have said doesn’t show up to meetings and is a locker room disruption

There lies the problem. He would not compliment Thomas because every juvenile poster on this board wants to trade Thomas, a first and a bag of peanuts for anything

If you're doing that with young assets, it's guys that are close to an extension(SAQUON) or just signed a large extension you regret not a 1st rder going into his 2nd year.
