You laughing at that is rich, considering you've been wrong 3x today after hammering your points over and over again.

I just realized I shook the hand of the killer. He's a year younger than me and played at Warren Easton when I was in high school. That was our opening game every year. I'm sure I shook his hand at the end of the games to say good game.

do you need a warrant to search a vehicle? as in look in the general area of a vehicle and remove any evidence etc
or just a warrant if you want to look in a compartment in the car?

I wasn't there. I'm stating what the restaurant manager told Meg Farris or whoever from WWL.

Jay Z says if it's locked, they need a warrant.
pretty sure if they have probable cause, they can search the rest of the vehicle.
but i'm not a lawyer, so i have no idea.

Yea, you were trying to zing me that "there was only 1 gun found".
except 2 hours later it comes out that they found Will Smiths gun. Not only that, but another gun in Hayes' car. So 2 more extra guns. You really showed me there!
So yea, you were wrong. Again.

There was no visible gun. Nothing to say that Dmith was the aggressor with the weapons. You failed.

I wouldn't expect you to admit you were wrong twice in one day.
back on track. tired of you making this about you.

Unless it was out in plain view then a warrant was going to be needed. All vehicles (Smith's, Hayes' & black Impala) were still private property. Your vehicle is an extension of your home. Just like a warrant would still be needed to venture into any area of a home that wasn't an immediate part of the crime scene, the same remains here. If anything outside immediate view were found without a warrant, those items wouldn't be admissible in court. That's why warrants were gotten to search all 3 vehicles involved thoroughly.

I'll admit I'm wrong a second time the second I'm wrong a second time. I wasn't there, and you trying to throw it in my face was a big swing and a miss in your part. Sorry.

Wow, so that means there is no way the guns found were visible, doesn't it. But I was wrong about that? Right LE?

I haven't seen where anyone has said that he plans to plea self defense. In fact, a reporter asked his attorney this yesterday and he avoided the question. If I had to guess, I'd say the attorney will try for a lower charge; perhaps manslaughter based on the preceding confrontation and things Smith may have said.
The fact that Hayes had two guns (revolver in the vehicle and the murder weapon) sort of makes it a stretch that Smiths unbrandished, unfired, well hidden gun would be an issue for him.

Say they found a gun on Smith's floorboard. Would they immediately gather it and process as evidence
Or would they have to go through the formality of getting a warrant then processing it. Or "wait" to announce they had the gun after securing a warrant
It'll come out eventually, obviosly
