I'm aware they made the Super Bowl. Maybe it's late at night, but I can't think of any elite LSU defenders on their roster.

They had Turner on Offense

Basically you don't make it to the Superbowl from the NFC South without an LSU player

Funny all tyhe LSU players worth a damn they pass on wind up starting somewhere else and we pick some mother fricker you never heard of and go 7-9 every year with our shitty depth because we can't draft worth a shite. Eat a dick

Outside of Adams and White no one is worth a frick on defense. The only one worth 11 is Adams. The rest are all late round special teams contributors.

Meanwhile all the NFCS teams are loading up on LSU defensive players and making it Super Bowls.

Just for fun, only 5/12 of the teams in the playoffs had LSU defensive players that played last season. Three of those five teams lost in their first playoff game. The one team that had the most LSU players starting on defense, the Falcons, had the worst defensive collapse in Super Bowl history.

I'm an avid LSU fan (since late 50s) & would love to see a half dozen former LSU players on the Saints.
BUT I am a realist & under the Saints are picking the best player by availability & need.
I havent seen a legitimate case where NO picked a lesser rated player over a higher rated LSU player.

They probably needed a pass rusher more.

Here is a list of times in the past couple years that the Saints have passed on LSU players for weaker prospects, off the top of my head:

Lael Collins (now starting guard and extremely good for Dallas), could have been taken in 7th round as a top 10 talent

Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry for Brandon Cooks - appears to have worked out poorly

Kwon alexander for PJ williams - play different positions, but a poor choice when a good choice was available

Trai Turner and Jarvis Landry for Stanley Jean Baptiste - laughably poor judgement

Eric Reid and Tyrann Mathieu for Kenny Vaccaro - lol

The one we drafted.....the one who kiper said that play (on his highlight) would be a pass interference call in the nfl.

I'm not bothering with disproving all of that drivel, but right off the top of my head, Beckham was drafted BEFORE Cooks, so how did the Saints not pick MUH TIGAH! there?

I am actually glad the Saints didnt pick any LSU players. Makes it so much easier to hate them and watch them lose and go 7-9 or 6-10 each year...

I hope they fill their roster with Bama and Florida players..Wont be long before they move out of LA and go to Gumpland!!!

How sad is your life that at 7:39am on a Saturday morning, your time is spent trolling a Saints message forum.

This. There has been a bunch of great LSU players coming out over the last few years but it's not like the Saints passed on them in a big spot. Guys like Debo and Kwon vastly outperformed where they were picked. There is just no way to anticipate that. I'm sure if they got to the point where they were on the clock and an LSU player was their highest graded, they'd pull the trigger. But you can clearly see that has not been the case for them in the last few years, the draft just hasn't fallen that way for us.

Voicing their idiotic ideas got us Coach Eaux, so now they are trying with the Saints.

With every other team not taking him, it's painfully obvious a don't draft order was put out.
