High 2nd round pick, playing against scubs in the 4th quarter that will likely be working at wal mart in a few weeks. And still did t make the stat sheet.
I watched him most of the 4th quarter, no quickness off the line and no power to bull rush. I really wonder how he got sacks at notre dame.
He looks like a bigger bust than Penning.
And yes I’m still pissed we passed on Branch for him.

Still think it was dumb, considering we knew Mathieu and maye were not gonna be here for longer than a few years.

I approve and second the OP. Horrible pick

Too many mistakes this high in the draft for someone in the front office not to be fired

Last night on the plays I keyed in on him he did not display any pass rushing moves beyond a simple speed rush! Aside from cross stunt with the DT he just tried to beat the OT using straight line speed to the edge, but he got stood up often and I did not see any bend & use of leverage on his part. When he would get stopped, he got fricking stopped, like would stop in his tracks for a second like “welp I’ll try again next snap” but the damn play was still going on and ball still in QB hands. He would not try a second move on any play that I saw at all. One & done
Perhaps he had containment on some of the plays that could explain a little, but I don’t think that was the case.
Hope the light comes on though

He just isn't very explosive
I don't understand what Ireland and his scouts saw.

If Foskey keeps this up he should not take up a spot on the 53.

Not a good sign If you playing this late in the 4th quarter which he was, and not making any impact in the very first preseason game.
Then one of the plays the white guy that subbed him in came in and immediately bull rushed the tackle back almost into the qb. It doesn’t look like he has speed or power. Thought he might improve some after his rookie year but I’m not seeing it.

I can’t recall a Notre Dame player ever working out for us.
The only non saints players that stand out as pros were Theisman and … Manti Teo’s girlfriend?
Oh. The cowboys LB that blew out his knee…Jaylon something

Irv Smith played 5 seasons with the Saints and was a solid TE
