Maybe donte had to go wash his car before you know they took him to jail and all. I think that's fair. 
But anyways, i've never heard anyone say he fled scene and all reports from the AUTHORITIES ( you know simmons loves the authority and laws and shite) has said Donte was fully cooperative in every way.

A lawyer friend of mine emailed me the mp3's of the 911 calls. And I have seen in multiple places that Donte claimed he flashed his lights at the guy.
In reality, Donte didn't flash anything though.
What happened was Donte was drunk, hauling arse on a street like Airline Hwy, the dude was crossing the street, he didn't see him, ran him over and killed him.
He initially fled the scene according to the 911 callers and came back shortly thereafter.
The importance of the flashing his lights deal is that if the victim wasn't in the crosswalk and Donte flashed his lights at him as a warning, it's the victim's fault for getting hit. His lawyer told him to say he flashed his lights obviously.......problem was Donte was drunk. Hence the plea deal, paying off the family, etc.
This is you and I, we get 10 years easy.

Sure it is. The family can get paid and get their justice. That's fine.
But the law is not concerned with what the family considers justice.......it's what the law say is justice.
I know a guy that embezzled money from a company he was the CFO for. FBI gets involved.....the owner of the company asks the FBI to drop charges on him because he's fired now anwyay. FBI tells the business owner that it's not up to him what he wants.....the law has to be served.
To me, the law isn't served if you or I get 10 years and Donte gets 30 days. Let every Joe Blow get 30 days and justice was then served.

Not really. I've been on TD for almost 2 years now and I have observed Chad in many argumentative situations. I think that he is a grade A douchebag. But he almost never resorts to namecalling. He has a point (sometimes wrong), and he sticks to it. I don't like his e-persona, but i can somewhat respect somebody who sticks to their guns.

The family took the $$$$$$$$. They were the ones that allowed this plea deal to happen.

Chad is a lot of things but he's usually never the first one to name call.
SJS, you'll learn to appreciate Chads stupid banter eventually. he's just bored and likes to take on the minority points of view. He's actually quite funny if you don't take him so serious. He's like a dog, if you ignore him...he'll eventually go away.
