I think most of us are upset about it. 3rd round picks are where it's at.
I just think the Broncos were desperate enough after committing so much to Wilson to not need our 3rd to get it done. That's just me.

That part is insane. Either you want Payton or you don’t. I highly doubt Denver was dug in over receiving a 3 in return.

If we got 2 1st rounders then that means a team would have give us more cause look...2 1st. We should have held out. And one of them is really a low 2nd or high 3rd. So really just a 1st. We suck.

You’re including Terron Armstead and Jimmy Graham as a reason why it’s important. You’re also using 2017 as a gauge when that’s one of the best drafts in NFL history, very unlikely to be repeated.
You can find great players in the 3rd round and you can find bums. You’re cherry-picking to make some grand point while ignoring that the vast majority of stars still come from the first 2 rounds.

Why not both groups? This isn't to argue that getting a second is a bad thing or that it's better than having a third, which is obvious. It's that we didn't need to include it at all. It makes no fricking sense that a team desperate for a qb guru coach fully committed to a broken qb had any leverage at all.
