We have much more pressing needs.

But I do think we need to draft an OL at some point this draft. Just not with 27

The Saints finished as the top rated O-line in the NFL last season, there is no need to take an offensive lineman in the 1st. They should focus on disruptive d-linemen and WRs to get the focus off of Thomas the coming season.

Ehhhhh. Armstead is injury prone. Unger is getting up there in age. OL might not be an immediate need but you can never have enough quality lineman.

And Strief retired, get the best O lineman available at 27

If a top lineman falls to that position, I'm good with it. Look how fortunate we were last year picking up Ramczyk.

If the DL, TE or WR the Saints crave is not available at 27....... they could pick Bill Price ( OC/OG ) from Ohio State.

He could slide in draft as incurred slight pectoral injury at the combine...... evaluators note potential pro bowler at OC and/or OG.

Has versatility.... provides immediate interior line depth and replacement for Unger at some point.

I say take an elite OL over an elite TE any day.

Draft to fill weak areas first.... This is what took the team over the top last season, with the exception of Kamara. Filling the same hole over and over will not make the team exponentially better than improving areas where the team is weakest. Team needs are for more offensive passing threats and defensive pressure outside/middle to cause disruption. Now if there is another Ramczyk that falls (which draft experts say there isn’t in this draft) he’ll be hard to pass on. Don’t get me wrong I love more o-line help, its just not as pressing as the previous season.

We lost streif and klemete though. It's one of those things, you dont realize how important it is until you need em

Will Hernandez, Isiah Wynn and Connor Williams could play multiple positions, James Daniels possibly. Could start looking a C replacement for Unger

who got replaced by Ram

There is no reason to spend a first round pick on an O lineman in this year's class

Trade down into the second if that is the case

I am not opposed to that, if no home run at 27 then get another pick and move down.

This is the same thing I’ve realized about the team’s wrs needs. Hernandez may have moved into the 1st round after his combine and Senior Bowl performances. I like him, Wynn and a sleeper pick like Alex Cappa that rates a 3rd-5th round pick (he’s a grinder, that has a nasty streak) just looking at which cupboard seems more bare..... Is it O-line or Wr depth? As of now, I see a roster with wrs that don’t scare anyone outside of Thomas. The d-line has depth, but only one guy that causes constant pressure.

It’s just EVERY year we talk about the Saints trading down and they never do

That’s why I just assume we are either staying at our pick and taking BPA or moving up for someone we covet.

Absolutely ok with it.

We look good on paper but it’s not like several members of our line have been pillars of durability.

OL is the most volatile position on the field in terms of injuries. Why do you know the names of Kliemete and bryce harris and strief before he was a starter? Loomis has always added OL when we "didnt need them"

Youre never fine with having no depth there, especially considering how tough it gets for Drew when he has no time and how reliant we are becoming on the run game

You dont even know who will be available there. Bet we run to the podium if say a McGlinchey drops just like we did last year with Ram. Mickey all but said he wants to be in position to take BPA, which is the best strategy so late in the 1st
