Final four coaches are all offensive minded with franchise quarterbacks.

Hiring Dennis Allen to be the coach gives the Saints zero of those.

Leave Allen as DC and go find an offensive HC or a HC like Flores that will bring in Watson.

It’s the way of the league now to hire young offense guys. If you don’t have a franchise QB you’re pretty much dead.

We don’t have an elite coach or elite QB so we are dead until we do

(Also: Jimmy G is not a franchise QB for the 9ers)

Also let’s not act like the Bills aren’t a top team with a defensive-minded head coach.

Key to winning is having a great QB and play calling that complements his strengths, whether that’s by the HC or OC.

Sean McDermott was a DC so was the guy that won 6 SB in the last 20 years. Nothing says a former DC has to have a bad offense

It’s not often DC’s are retained after a regime change.
If we do hire Flores, the chances are that Watson comes and plays (due to NFL laying the hammer) are pretty low.

Very true. As good of a coach as Sean Payton is, his key to success was Drew Brees. Same thing with Belichek and Brady, and same right now with the Bills.

The most important thing to have is a franchise QB. If you have that, doesn't really matter if you're coach is an offensive or defensive guy. Zac Taylor went from coaching bust to young coaching star in one year, all because of Joey B.
