yes, brees went down in the first quarter...
yes, teddy is about as exciting as bubble gum melting on the sidewalk...

but what about that porous defense?!?!!?

414 yds versus the texans last week (THE TEXANS!!! AT HOME!!!)
380 yds versus the rams yesterday...

TOTALS:

nearly 400 yds/game
ranked 24th in the nfl

6.6 yds/play
ranked 27th in the nfl

PREDICTION:

9 - 7
exit the playoffs in first round...

Defense hung on for as long as they could. They probably go gassed because the offense kept going 3 and out over and over.

They were gassed because Teddy didn’t do shite to keep our O on the field

Defense played well enough to win. If Drew doesn’t go out and the refs don’t screw us again, we win by 10+

They were tired and run down by the 2nd half.

The Rams had 3 sustained drives for FGs in the first half and another that ended on the turnover.

The offense not being able to make plays put them back on the field quicker.

The Saints played the run well. Cooks made a couple of plays including the deep ball which was just a perfect throw, but Kupp killed us.

Defense played very well until they ran out of gas. This is on the offense for all those three and outs putting the defense out there so often with a couple times on a short field. Penalties on the O line was killer. If Drew was in, the Saints would have killed the Rams. It's a shallow victory for them. I did not see anything special with the Rams that the Saints could not take care of at full strenght.

Please tell me you are joking. The Defense played very well given the circumstance. They were on the field too long and the Offense did not produce shite. In games like this I don't care if the Defense you have is great it is only a matter of time.

In the long throw to Cooks, how do you have Lattimore in man coverage on Cooks with no over the top safety help? I thought that play was concerning from a scheme and play calling stand point. If the safety just blew the coverage or even tripped and fell I would rather that than just bad play calling

Kept one of the best offenses in the league out of the end zone for damn near three quarters in 95 degree heat, but sure... they suck

They were on the field A LOT in the 2nd half due to our offense sputtering out. Throw em a mulligan.

Without any offense, the D got gassed and the fumble TD took spirit from us.

Brees goes down and then the Jordan's scoop and score gets called back.....

That's enough to take all the wind out of your sail.....the hung as long as they could.

I’m generally pretty critical of defenses but blaming them for that loss is fricking stupid. They held as long as they possibly could. After Drew went down our offense was a steaming pile of shite. You can’t ask the defense to hold a team like the rams for an entire game when you’re not scoring points and giving them a break by sustaining a drive. There’s not a defense in the league that could do that.

I’ll give you that they played terrible against the Texans but yesterday was not on them.
